To get the maximum output from your liners, ensure that the feed material is distributed evenly across the crushing cavity to prevent localized ring wear.

The Closed Side Setting (CSS) on the PYB1200 is adjusted by rotating the upper bowl assembly within the fixed threaded support ring. This can be executed manually using a heavy-duty lever arrangement or via an optional hydraulic/electric motor gear drive system that screws the bowl up or down to modify the discharge gap from 20 mm to 50 mm.

The perimeter spring array acts as a heavy mechanical fuse. The uncrushable steel piece will force the moving mantle outward, which pushes the entire adjustment bowl upward against the high-tensile springs. The springs compress, expanding the discharge opening momentarily so the tramp iron can drop out safely, protecting the spiral bevel gears from cracking.
