The discharge end of the trough is fitted with an inclined grating made of wear-resistant alloy steel bars. When the vibrating motors drive the trough in high-frequency vibration, material inside moves forward along parabolic trajectories. As material passes over the bar section, fines and dirt smaller than the bar spacing fall through the gaps under the combined action of gravity and vibration, exiting through a separate fines discharge outlet beneath the trough. Oversize material that cannot pass through the bars continues sliding forward along the bar surface and is discharged from the front coarse material outlet into the jaw crusher.

We recommend focusing routine inspections on the lower end of the bars — when wear exceeds 30% of the original bar diameter, they should be replaced or flipped to utilize the unworn side.

The recommended standard installation angle is 0° to 5° (horizontal or slightly inclined downward). A slight downward tilt leverages gravity to assist material flow, which is especially effective when handling large or high-density material. For high-clay materials, the angle can be increased to 5° to 10° to enhance material mobility and prevent sticking. However, the angle should not exceed 15°, as this would cause material to flow too rapidly, making feed rate difficult to control precisely and increasing the impact load on the jaw crusher at the trough discharge end.
