VSI-1145 Vertical Shaft Impact Crusher (VSI Sand Maker) is an engineered high-efficiency tertiary crushing and sand-making machine designed for premium manufactured sand production and aggregate shaping. Featuring a 1145 mm large-diameter deep-cavity rotor combined with a circumferential waterfall feeding system, it operates in both rock-on-rock and rock-on-iron dual modes to efficiently transform 0-50 mm fine-crushed intermediates into superior cubical manufactured sand with optimal gradation.
The machine operates on the vertical shaft high-speed projection impact principle. Dual motors drive the rotor at 1,300-1,800 r/min, accelerating material entering the rotor center to 60-80 m/s before high-speed projection. The material violently impacts against circumferentially distributed alloy wear tips or the naturally formed material lining layer. In rock-on-rock mode, material autogenously crushes against the material lining with extremely low metal wear; in rock-on-iron mode, material directly impacts alloy wear tips for a larger reduction ratio and higher sand yield. Both modes can be flexibly switched to precisely match different material characteristics and product requirements.
