Product Description
The MQY2736 Overflow Ball Mill is a high-efficiency grinding unit engineered for metallic and non-metallic mining operations as well as cement production. Featuring a large Φ2700×3600 mm shell with 17.7 m³ of effective volume and a maximum ball charge of 37 tonnes, it uses overflow discharge to continuously grind material until qualified fines naturally overflow out — delivering uniform product size with minimal over-grinding across iron ore, copper, gold, and non-metallic mineral applications.
Operating on the horizontal rotating shell grinding principle, the motor drives the shell at 21.7 r/min via a large-module gear drive system. Grinding media (steel balls) inside the shell are lifted by centrifugal force and the corrugated liner profile to a specific height before cascading down, delivering intense impact breakage and attrition grinding to the material. Feed material enters with water at the feed end and is continuously ground as it travels through the shell. Qualified fine pulp naturally overflows from the discharge trunnion, while coarse particles remain inside for further grinding — ensuring an extremely uniform product size distribution with minimal over-grinding. It is an indispensable core unit in mineral processing plants worldwide.
